The Performing Arts Department has a number of excellent adjunct instructors who offer private music lessons including piano, guitar, percussion, brass instruments, woodwinds, and voice. Here’s how to sign-up:
1. Call the office (618) 544-8657 ext 1433 or use the contact form below to let us know you’re interested in lessons. Tell us what dates and times work best and we’ll try to work around those. It also helps if you include whether you’re a beginner or you have some musical experience. (For instance, if you’re interested in guitar, but you’ve taken piano, let us know. Feel free to include church or schools choir experience. One important note: Elementary students interested in VOICE lessons… we’d prefer if you took PIANO first.)
2. We’ll forward your information to the instructor and he or she will contact you to arrange a lesson time.
3. Download the registration form and bring it and your payment to your first lesson.
Lessons begin the week of August 21 for the Fall 2017 semester.
Fees are $175. (Lessons for a second household member, or a second set of lessons are $165). These fees are payable by the first lesson.
(Fees can also be paid in two installments of $87.50, due at the beginning and midpoint of the semester.)
We accept cash and checks. We also accept VISA and Mastercard by phone or in person at the office.
